How to recover an OCR / CAMIS password
Losing CAMIS access is common, usually after changing consultants or when the email used at registration is closed. Without access you cannot file updates.
Try these first
- The CAMIS "forgot password" option — this works if the registration email is still live
- Ask your previous consultant or auditor; the account was often opened under their email
- Dig out the old email addresses and phone numbers used at registration
If none of that works
- Prepare the applicationDraft a recovery application to the Office of the Company Registrar.
- Pass a minuteResolve at a board meeting to designate an authorised person.
- Gather proofHave the certificate of incorporation, PAN and directors’ citizenship copies ready.
- File in personThe authorised person may need to attend the office themselves.
So it does not happen again
- Use a company email address, not a personal or consultant’s one
- Keep the login details somewhere all directors can reach
- When changing consultants, move the account email and phone into your own name first
